Botched Arkansas Marriage Law To Be Repealed
Little Rock, AR - An Arkansas law that would allow anybody to marry, even toddlers, will soon be fixed. Because of a typo, the legislation mistakenly allowed anyone, of any age, to marry in Arkansas with parental consent. Jacksonville Representative Will Bond backed the law last year. He says he will present a new bill the upcoming special session. The new one would repeal the botched legislation. Bond says the new bill will return the minimum marriage age to 17 for boys and 16 for girls.

Sebelius expects no change in marriage law
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius would not say Wednesday whether she supports or opposes gay marriage, only that she does not think a Massachusetts court's ruling on the issue will lead to a repeal of Kansas' ban anytime soon. Making amends for marriage law
Only once in 217 years have we allowed a purely social/personal-morality issue to sneak into the U.S. Constitution. That also was the only time that we used the Constitution to take away the personal freedom of Americans. The occasion was Prohibition.
