San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer ruled this week that the state’s marriage law discriminates against same-sex couples and is unconstitutional. “It appears that no rational purpose exists for limiting marriage in this state to opposite-sex partners,” wrote Kramer in a 27-page opinion released March 14.
